Updated September 29, 2026 · what shipped in NewsMasher, and when · newest first

Every entry below is something a member can open and use. Dates are the day it was announced to members, in the GeekOutFridays group or by email. Changes to this website are listed at the end, separately, so nobody mistakes a new page for a new feature.

Sep 22, 2026Story briefs and source controls on every Keyword Feed

A Keyword Feed now takes a Story Brief that says what you require from a story and what you never want returned. Two new lists, Prefer these sources and Never these sources, hold the sites you want stories from and the sites you do not. Instructions and examples are inside the app on the feed form.

Sep 21, 2026More than one Buffer account, and Post now

You can connect more than one Buffer account. And you now choose when each article's posts go out: Add to Buffer queue, Next in queue, or Post now. Post now matters for news: a full queue can hold a breaking story at the back of the line for weeks, and Post now sends it while it is still news.

Sep 21, 2026Nine training videos with clickable chapters

Nine new lessons in the members area, most under five minutes, each with chapters you can jump to: Dashboard Tour, How to Connect Your WordPress Site, Create a Keyword Feed, How to Create a Writing Profile, The 3 Queues (Story, Article, Socials), How to Create an Autopilot Feed with Ads, Turn RSS Feeds from News Sites into News Videos with Article2Video, How to use the Chrome Extension, and the Q&A from the live call.

Sep 18, 2026The NewsMasher Clipper is in the Chrome Web Store

Reading a story anywhere on the web? One click sends it to your Keyword Feed and NewsMasher writes it as a post on your own site, in your voice. Install it from Settings in the app, under Chrome Extension, or straight from the Chrome Web Store listing. It is bonus one on every plan.

Sep 18, 2026The launch show replay, with chapters

The 77-minute launch show is up as a replay, and the demo is cut into chapters you can jump between: a new Keyword Feed to a published article to its social posts. Watch the replay.

Sep 12, 2026Two guidebooks in the training

A full operational guide and a step-by-step getting-started guide, both inside the NewsMasher training in your VidPenguin Productions library.

Sep 11, 2026The launch show

A live 77-minute demo from an empty Keyword Feed to a published article and its social posts. The reactions from that show's chat are the ones quoted on the home page, with the names of the people who said them.

Sep 10, 2026NewsMasher opens

This siteChanges to newsmasher.com

  • September 30, 2026. The sample run is on film now, right under the opening: a keyword goes in, and a published article and eight queued posts come out. It runs on a loop, and a Hold key stops it.
  • September 29, 2026. Founding pricing has a closing date: Sunday, October 4, 2026, at midnight Eastern. Retail pricing follows on Monday, October 5. The rate you start at before then is the rate you keep.
  • September 23, 2026. The headline now reads "Run your own news desk for $37 a month." A plan table under the three tickets. Every page previews with the NewsMasher card when shared.
  • September 22, 2026. Six customers drawn in pen and ink beside their own words. Bonuses listed with their retail values. Comparison pages for nine other tools, reachable from the Comparisons menu in the footer. This changelog.
  • September 10, 2026. The site opened with the product.
